Surface Diffusion by Means of Stochastic Wave Functions. The Ballistic Regime

چکیده
Stochastic wave function formalism is briefly introduced and applied to study the dynamics of open quantum systems; in particular, diffusion Xe atoms adsorbed on a Pt(111) surface. By starting from Lindblad functional within microscopic Caldeira–Leggett model for linear dissipation, stochastic differential equation (Ito^-type equation) straightforwardly obtained. The so-called intermediate scattering ballistic regime obtained, which observable Helium spin echo experiments. An ideal two-dimensional gas has been observed this regime, leading behaving as Gaussian function. influence surface–adsorbate interaction also analyzed by using potential two interactions describing flat corrugated surfaces. Very low surface coverages are considered and, therefore, adsorbate–adsorbate safely neglected. Good agreement when our numerical results compared with corresponding experimental previous standard Langevin simulations.

this study investigates the cohesive devices used in the textbook of english for the students of psychology. the research questions and hypotheses in the present study are based on what frequency and distribution of grammatical and lexical cohesive devices are. then, to answer the questions all grammatical and lexical cohesive devices in reading comprehension passages from 6 units of 21units th...
The two-regime method for optimizing stochastic reaction-diffusion simulations.
Spatial organization and noise play an important role in molecular systems biology. In recent years, a number of software packages have been developed for stochastic spatio-temporal simulation, ranging from detailed molecular-based approaches to less detailed compartment-based simulations. Compartment-based approaches yield quick and accurate mesoscopic results, but lack the level of detail tha...
متن کاملEvanescent wave transport and shot noise in graphene: ballistic regime and effect of disorder
We have investigated electrical transport and shot noise in graphene field effect devices. In large width over length ratio W/L graphene strips, we have measured shot noise at low frequency (f = 600–850 MHz) in the temperature range of 4.2–30 K. We observe a minimum conductivity of 4e 2 πh and a finite and gate dependent Fano factor reaching the universal value of 1/3 at the Dirac point, i.e. w...
متن کاملTwo Regime Method for optimizing stochastic reaction-diffusion simulations
The computer simulation of stochastic reaction-diffusion processes in biology is often done using either compartment-based (spatially discretized) simulations or molecular-based (Brownian dynamics) approaches. Compartment-based approaches can yield quick and accurate mesoscopic results but lack the level of detail that is characteristic of the more computationally intensive molecular-based mode...
